 met Nancy Wilson one day in 1996. I traveled toher dressing room following her final show that night at the Blue Note. I gave her bodyguard one of my creations as a gift to her.Upon her receiving it, she immediately requested to meet me. She was taken back by such an offering. She questioned why I would create such an elaborate gift, just for her. I spoke on behalf of her devoted fans who respected her hard work and the joy she brought over the years with her music. Over-whelmed, she praised the beauty and custom detail of the apron from the set. She also marveled at the "reversible" concept behind my work. She thanked me again for her one of a kind gift and took this picture with me as a token of her endorsement. |
